The Journey
Be patient. So hard to be patient. Enjoy the moments along the way. No regrets. Yeah, right. So many regrets already. Let them go. Keep moving. Sit still. Breathe.
Where are you going? What do you dream of for your life? Leave me a note in the comments. I sincerely want to know ;)

Some New Stuff....
This one is a mixed media piece with Acrylic paint, graphite and vintage sheet music. The pieces of sheet music read: "Into each lonely hour you seem to come and go. The happiness you bring you'll never, never know. For tho' you left me you left me too, SO MANY MEMORIES of ....you"
This is Acrylic paint and graphite on canvas.
Sides are also painted so it is ready to hang.
This is Acrylic paint, ink and graphite on canvas. It has some texture made from "dried" acrylic paint.

Wisconsin...
Well, I'm off to Wisconsin for a few days and I plan on sitting in the same spot that my baby girl is in the picture above, on the same comfy couch at my parents' house to get some R&R. I am also taking my new zoom lens and "fancy" camera (that I still don't really know how to use) so that I can get some great pictures of, well, cows. Seriously....I want to take some "country life" pictures, so I am sure there will be a few cows in there ;)
Have a wonderful few days!!!

New Art and thoughts...
This is a new piece I just finished. It doesn't have a name yet. I was in such a bad place when I painted this....chronic pain, frustration, confusion, anger, sadness. I literally just started throwing paint on the canvas. Reds and blacks and some dark blue for a "punch". I just completed an Art4Healing Certificate training and let me tell you....this stuff works. We all need to find a way to get "it" out. Maybe for you it is writing or photography or.....screaming. Screaming's good. I need to scream more. I felt like I was screaming when I flung the paint at the canvas and smacked some spots here and there. I felt the tears when I sprayed the paint and watched the red tinted drops of water stream down my painting. Sometimes it's so hard. So hard to do it all. So hard to deal with the pain. But it sure helps to get it out.
One I was able to get some of my "stuff" out I was able to feel the clouds part slightly. I started thinking about all that I had to live for and all that I am blessed with. My colors became brighter and my shapes more whimsical. The word "hope" floated across the bottom of my canvas because if we don't have hope, what do we have? Some days it's so hard to find it....but it's always there.....waiting for you.....when you're ready.
I HOPE you have a wonderful holiday weekend. Be safe. Be creative....oh, and of'course....
Have fun!!!!!
xoxo

First Art Class!!!
We did a warm up to show them how different colors and movements can symbolize their feelings.
The large canvas was a guided exercise where they imagined that they had shrunk and were traveling through their bodies.
