I try not to torture my kids with too many photo sessions but when I took my daughter's braids out and saw her glorious hair I just had to get some fun photos of her!! 

 

Beach Family Session-San Diego Family Photographer

It is rainy and gloomy here today...it even hailed and in Southern CA that is the equivalent of 10 feet of snow in the mid-west....true story ;)  So it sure is fun to look back at this sunny beach session that I did just a couple weeks ago.  Adoption is close to my heart, as we grew our family with the adoption of our daughter, so I volunteer my time for 8 sessions per year to an organization called Red Thread.  The little boy's adoption just became finalized a few weeks ago so we celebrated with some fun pictures at the beach.  This family is moving East for awhile so hopefully they will enjoy the memories of the west coast beauty when they hang these pictures on their wall.

Just the other night my husband and I were talking about dreading the moment our 5 yr old doesn't crawl into bed with us anymore (okay, I was dreading it, him...not so much) and I was trying to think back to when I was a child and stopped climbing into bed with my parents.  I could not remember the moment because as I'm sure my mom will say, it never happened, ha.  But I do remember the feeling when I realized my dad wasn't carrying me in from the car to my bed after I had fallen asleep from a long drive home.  There is just something about Daddies and little girls that pulls at my heartstrings.
